Michael Bowman, a successful surgeon in Dallas, is married to Maggie, a police detective. A friend of his, coroner Adam Radburn, is a vampire, but keeps this fact secret until one night his hypnotic guard slips and Michael notices his friend has no reflection. From this moment of realization Michael's life plunges into a nightmare existence. He tries to extricate the image of Adam's vampire essence but cannot. He confronts his friend, and, in the ensuing fight, Adam gets a taste of Michael's blood. This makes it possible for Adam to transform Michael a few days later when he dies in an automobile accident. As a vampire Michael has increased powers but he is also the target of William, a psychopathic nosferatu who takes fiendish delight in torturing and killing anyone who means anything to Adam. That now includes Michael and by extension Maggie. |
